A Woman A Precious Treasure

From the lovely glow in her eyes
To the features men come to adore
She is a treasure few realize
She is that and so much more

From the sweetness of her loving charms
That causes men to fantasize
To the tenderness of her loving arms
She is a loving, living prize

She was created to be by man’s side
To be the half that makes him complete
You may search this universe far and wide
But never will you find one so unique

Loving, compassionate, unequaled in design
Blessed with unbound creativity
A wonder to be desired for all time
She is woman, a treasure, a lady

Separate But Unequal

This is the latest sequel
To the continuing saga, separate but unequal
For still after all this time
The bigot elite still search to find
A way to halt the progress of equality
And further the cause of bigotry
Lawyers in ivory towers pour over the law
Seeking any loophole or imagined flaw
That will give an excuse to deny rights
To anyone who’s skin is darker than white
The skin game the bigots play well
As they manage to cause our thought to dwell
On contrived imagined differences
As they expound the benefits of preferences
Keeping the races at odds with each other
While their true agenda, they keep undercover
For while the common man draws boundaries
The greedy elite form foundries
As they subtly work the colors of difference to divide
While undercover, they work to all humanity deny
Their human rights in a society
Supposedly built on the principles of liberty
But how can a person’s liberty be gauged
In a workforce being forced to work for a lower wage
While prices keep rising everyday
Prices but not a rise in pay
And to poor whites, welcome to the monarchy’s sequel
Of prejudice of class, separate but unequal
