Temika Moore
THE ROCK:
What was your motivation to get into the music business?
Temika Moore: I participated in a gospel
choir years ago, and I saw that I had the ability to touch people.
THE ROCK: How do you classify your music?
Temika Moore: Honest music. That means
my music is geared more towards the lyrical content. My music is
smooth jazz, neo-soul, gospel, and r & b music. I have so many
influences.
THE ROCK: Who are your favorite artists?
Temika Moore: Initially it was The
Clark Sisters and Anita Baker. Later on, it was Rachelle Ferrell.
I went to her concert, and it changed my life. My perception and
focus completely changed. How she relates to her audience is remarkable.
THE ROCK: What is your purpose in doing
what you do?
Temika Moore: It’s definitely
not just the money. I want people to walk away after hearing my
music with the courage to do whatever they choose to do. I want
my music to be words of encouragement and thought-provoking. I want
my concerts to be an experience.
THE ROCK: What record company are you
with?
Temika Moore: I formed my own independent
record label called More II Come Entertainment. I’m looking
for the right record deal right now.
THE ROCK: What three words best describe
Temika Moore?
Temika Moore: Tenacious, Organized,
and Ever-Changing.
THE ROCK: Where does Temika Moore see
herself five years from now?
Temika Moore: Big tours and being nominated
for a Grammy!
THE ROCK: Thank you, Temika and best wishes.
